West Valley Remodeling Guide is a homeowner planning and referral resource. We aim to collect only the information needed to provide useful remodeling guidance, respond to project inquiries and, when appropriate, facilitate a limited introduction.

What “Protect” Means

When we use the word “Protect,” we mean our design choice to keep homeowners in control of their project information and avoid distributing the same inquiry to multiple contractors for solicitation. It does not mean that any transmission or system can be guaranteed absolutely secure.

Information You Provide

When you submit a project review or contact request, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, project type, estimated budget, location, timing and the project details you choose to share.

Information Collected Through Site Use

Like most websites, our hosting, security and analytics tools may receive technical information such as browser type, device information, referring pages, approximate location derived from an IP address, and pages viewed. If we add or materially change analytics or advertising technologies, this policy will be updated accordingly.

How We Use Information

• Review and respond to remodeling project inquiries.
• Provide planning information and requested follow up.
• Improve site content, performance and user experience.
• Protect the site from spam, fraud or misuse.
• When appropriate, facilitate an introduction to one remodeling professional that fits the project and service area.

How Information May Be Shared

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the site and communications, such as website hosting, form processing, analytics or email services. If a project is appropriate for an introduction, we may share the information needed to facilitate that introduction with one remodeling professional. We do not operate a broadcast lead marketplace and do not distribute a single project submission to multiple contractors.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse or respond to a lawful request.

Referral Relationships

West Valley Remodeling Guide may receive compensation from a remodeling professional for an introduction or a resulting project. Any referral relationship does not replace the homeowner's own due diligence. Homeowners should independently verify current licensing, insurance, scope, contract terms and other qualifications before hiring any contractor.

Complimentary AI Access Verification

When you request a complimentary AI Room Designer generation, we ask for an email address, project ZIP code and confirmation that you are at least 18 and authorized to help plan the home project. We use this limited information to confirm service-area eligibility, manage complimentary usage and reduce automated or recreational use. This access step is separate from the Project Review and does not itself request a contractor introduction or authorize sales calls.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish people from automated traffic. Turnstile processes technical request and browser signals for human verification under Cloudflare's applicable privacy terms. A temporary access permit may be stored in our hosting infrastructure for the configured complimentary-access window, while eligibility markers are designed to use hashed identifiers where practical. Successful access requests may also be recorded through our form-processing service so we can measure qualified use of the Room Designer.

AI Room Designer Photos and Prompts

If you use the AI Room Designer, the room photo and design instructions you submit are processed through our hosting infrastructure and sent to our current AI generation service provider, OpenAI, for the purpose of creating the requested visualization. The source photo may be held temporarily by our hosting infrastructure while the generation job runs and is designed to be deleted from that temporary job store after processing. Generated results may also be held transiently so delivery can be retried if a browser or network interruption occurs, and an accepted first concept may be retained within that same temporary result window so a controlled second direction can continue after a refresh or site deployment. An upload that is not processed is marked for cleanup after approximately two hours. A generated result is marked for cleanup after approximately 24 hours whether or not it has already been delivered to your browser. A cleanup process runs approximately every two hours, but failures or delays can extend these periods. These periods describe our temporary hosting store, not OpenAI’s separate handling.

As of the date of this policy, OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default and that API content may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring unless different approved data retention controls apply. Do not upload sensitive documents, unnecessary personal information or images you do not have permission to use.

Data Retention and Security

We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, recordkeeping, security and legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your Choices

You may ask us to correct or delete information you submitted by using the Contact page. We may retain limited information when necessary for legal, security or recordkeeping purposes.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for homeowners and other adults planning residential remodeling projects. It is not directed to children under 13.

Third Party Sites

Our guides may link to government agencies and other third party resources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site, technology or referral model evolves. The date above identifies the most recent revision.
